Equifax Cybersecurity Incident

On September 7, Equifax, one of the nation’s three major credit reporting agencies, announced they had a data breach that impacted as many as 143 million Americans.   Data stolen in this breach includes names, Social Security numbers, birth dates, addresses and in some cases, driver’s license numbers.   Click here to read Equifax’s official press release, check to see if you are impacted by this breach, and to sign up for one year of free credit monitoring.  You may also call Equifax’s dedicated call center at 866.447.7559 for assistance. Their call center is available every day (including weekends) from 7:00 a.m-1:00 a.m. Eastern time.
