SCU Staff Volunteers with Samaritan’s Purse

Apr 16, 2020

On Thursday, April 16th, our Seneca Team (Shena Carroll, Caitlyn Woolbright, Amanda Murphy, Jessica Moody, Jamie Norman, Leanna Lee, Sonja Greer and Jalen Allen) was able to serve hot meals for 30 people through the Samaritan's Purse organization.

They are housed at LifePoint Church of Seneca. Samaritan's Purse provided an advance ground crew to work on road clearing and tree removal from damaged homes.

Samaritan's Purse volunteers serve all over to help those involved in a disaster such as the tornado that touched down in Seneca, SC early Monday morning, which is estimated to have caused more than $200 million in damages.

On a clear blue day, SCU staff stands spread out, holding up food supplies, alongside Samaritan's Purse volunteers in front of their large disaster relief van, reading number 3, in the church parking lot.
