Trust has always been the foundation of our relationship with our members.  Because you trust us with your financial and other personal information, we are committed to respect your privacy and safeguard that information.  To preserve your trust, we pledge to protect your privacy by adhering to the practices described below.  By signing any application or agreement with us, or your use or continued use of any of our services with us after receiving this notice, you jointly and severally agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this Policy and Agreement.  In this Agreement the terms “we”, “our,” or “us” means SC State Credit Union, and the terms “you” or “yours” means all members, consumers, borrowers and guarantors. 

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect nonpublic information about you from some or all of the following sources: 

  • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms, such as your name, address, social security number, assets and income.

  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others such as your account balance, payment history, parties to transactions and credit card usage; and,

  • Information we receive from a consumer-reporting agency, such as your creditworthiness and credit history.

  • State Credit Union also collects information as a result of transactions between the credit union and such individuals because of providing our products and/or services. This includes transaction information from share drafts (checks), debit cards, credit cards, automated teller machine (ATM) cards, electronic transfers (e.g., home banking or automated clearinghouse (ACH) transactions), and such other products and services as State Credit Union may offer its members.

INFORMATION WE DISCLOSE

We may disclose all of the information we collect as described above to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements. We may also disclose information about you under other circumstance as permitted by law. 

OUR SECURITY MEASURES

We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with Federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.

HOW YOU CAN HELP PROTECT YOUR PRIVACY

  • Do not share your account information, passwords, user IDs, PINs or other confidential information with others.
  • Don’t provide confidential information by telephone to unknown callers.
  • Do not provide confidential information online unless you initiated the contact, know the party with whom you are dealing and provide the information through a secure channel.

  • When conducting business over the Internet, always use a secure browser and exit online applications as soon as you finish using them.
  • Protect and dispose of your account records by shredding or other secure manner.
